Furniture and porcelain range for all auction tastes

A Rojo walnut desk, Tessa lounge suite and Chesterfield lounges should appeal to auction goers on the hunt for furniture at E.J. Ainger’s forthcoming weekly sale from 9.30am Tuesday February 16 at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.

These are the major features of a sale heavy with furniture including retro teak, Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and 1920s furniture.

These include teak dining room suites, tall Victorian mahogany bookcases, Georgian bureaus and period Chippendale carver chairs.

Marble fireplaces to adorn any fine home

Three superb marble fireplaces – still in place in their Toorak mansion abode – will be offered for auction from 9.30am Tuesday February 9 at E.J. Ainger’s latest weekly sale at 433 Bridge road, Richmond.

The fireplaces join an extensive range of collectables including porcelain, crystal, oriental items pictures and cloisonné that are the residual contents of estates in North Balwyn, St Kilda and Armadale.

Outstanding antique furniture leads the charge for 2016 first auction

Christmas auction to feature several estates

E.J. Ainger’s final auction for 2015 is notable for the residual contents of several estates from Hawthorn, Toorak, Malvern, Brighton and Reservoir along with several private consignments.

The auction will begin at 9.30 on Tuesday December 15 at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond and includes antique English, French and Australian furniture along with contemporary pieces such as Tessa leather chairs oriental offerings.

There also is an interesting range of industrial furniture and gilded antique and contemporary mirrors and prints.

Robert Prenzel carvings to attract auction purists

A 1903 Robert Prenzel blackwood settle and three panels is a major highlight of E.J. Ainger’s forthcoming special two-day sale from 11am Saturday December 5 and Sunday December 6 at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.

Each panel is finely carved in the Gothic Renassance style with Gryphons and the centre panel depicts foliage with the relief carved inscription ‘Salve’.

Another Prenzel panel features a lorikeet on an Australian native gum tree branch and was purchased by the Black family from his workshop and installed as part of a homestead fireplace at Tarwin Meadows.

Two baby grand pianos will be the highlight of E.J. Ainger’s forthcoming Melbourne auction from 9.30am Tuesday November 10 at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.

The auction features the residual contents of several estates including a Harcourt Street, Hawthorn mansion.

The baby grand pianos are an ebonised Yamaha and a John Broadway.

Other items include a leather lounge and contemporary Italian chrome and leather furniture from a Southbank apartment.
