Unregistered, the 1.6-litre four-cylinder Barina has 69,000 kilometres on the clock and carries an auction estimate of $6000-$8000.

The 1.5-litre four-cylinder silver Micra has a low 12,947 kilometres and is registered until June 30.

Home handymen and professional tradesmen will have a field day at Abbeys Auctions last sale for 2015 choosing from a large country collection of woodworking and metalworking tools.

Rare 19th century German piano to tempt the finest musicians

A G. Schwechten burr walnut upright piano is a major highlight of Abbeys Auctions latest sale from 9am Friday September 25 at 480-482a Station Street, Box Hill.

Schwechten was a Berlin-based manufacturer of fine pianos, which began production in 1854 and continued until 1925.

These pianos are now rare and, reflective of the high quality workmanship in 19th century German and Austrian workshops, among the finest ever built.
