Louis style Egyptian furniture to entice auction goers

Egyptian furniture and ironwork will be a highlight of E.J. Ainger’s weekly auction from 9.30am Tuesday February 10 at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.

The auction features decorative Louis style Egyptian furniture, executive desk, and display cabinets and fine example of a burr walnut dressing table.

Auction goers should find the iron and marble console tables worth considering – along with hall and coffee tables and other Victorian and Edwardian furniture pieces.

Also of interest are the gilded mirrors, pair of bedside cabinets and a range of artworks.

Christmas-New Year items ready for auction

E.J. Ainger’s first auction for 2015 will include a large number of items consigned from estates and private homes to the auction rooms over the Christmas-New Year period.

The auction, from 9.30am Tuesday February 3 at 433 Bridge Road Richmond, will feature a Ronisch burr walnut cased baby grand piano, along with collectables, paintings and Persian rugs.

A consignment from Egypt of fabulous Egyptian iron and marble outdoor furniture is the highlight of E.J. Ainger’s weekly sale from 9.30am Tuesday December 9 at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.

The auction also contains decorative mirrors and many decorative French Louis-style pieces and smaller items of interest.

Many of the items are from estates and homes throughout Melbourne and the Bellarine Peninsula and include antique and leather furnishings, genuine woollen pattern rugs, ceiling lights, porcelain and Victorian coloured glassware.

Among the porcelain on offer is an 1820s Coalport cream jug and lidded sucrier and Royal Winton floral jug.
