Vintage clothing store contents an auction curiosity
The contents of a well-known and respected vintage clothing store will go under the hammer when auctioneer Steve Graham climbs the rostrum at 10am Sunday October 25 at 64 Urquhart Street, Woodend.
The store is Circa Vintage Clothing, which has been operating in Melbourne's CBD for several years. The owner plans to ocontinue operating the business online.
The ladies vintage and antique fashion dating from the 1800s to modern times includes day dresses from the 1920s, 1930s wedding and tea gowns, 1940s dinner dresses, 1950s beaded ball gowns and 1960s shifts.

A single owner collection of John Gould’s Birds of Australia lithographs will be auctioned from 11am Sunday October 25 by Leonard Joel at 333 Malvern Road, South Yarra.
The 66-strong corporate collection, assembled by the company’s chief executive officer and no longer part of its forward planning, should be highly sought after by Gould collectors.
Ten of the lithographs are rare and highly collectible and estimates range from $500 to $15,000 for individual items.

Veteran Stutz Bearcat leads classic car auction
A 1916 Stutz Model 4C Bearcat Roadster is the leading light at Mossgreen’s latest Collectors’ Cars, Motorcycles and Automobilia auction from 3pm Sunday October 18 at 935 High Street, Armadale.
One of the most significant American veteran cars, it is the only known Stutz Bearcat bucket-seat roadster in Australia from a total of 25 registered worldwide.
Brought to Australia shortly after it was built in Indianapolis, in 1952 the current owner bought the Stutz from a Dandenong motor wrecker.
The car was mechanically complete but carried the remains of a utility body.

Another is the White Chapel bronzed bell dated 1829 from the famous London foundry and bronze statue of a bull on a marble base.
