Trading vintage collection for a pink Cadillac

Geelong collector Danny Stevens is selling part of his antiques and vintage collection (with more to go in coming months) to buy a pink Cadillac – a dream purchase he has long cherished.

The auction, from 10am Sunday July 19 at 64 Urquhart Street Woodend, will be held by auctioneer Steve Graham.

Over the years, Stevens has bought much of his collection through Graham and is more than happy to use the auctioneer to help sell it.

The collection features four old petrol bowsers, seven collectible pedal cars (including a pink Cadillac – perhaps the source of his new passion) tricycles and scooters.

There also are many interesting rustic items including milk cans, petrol and oil tins and embossed oil bottles including a rare Sinclair brand – an example of which was last sold at auction in 2012, the first for many years.

Another interesting and unusual item is a bookmakers’ tote board.
