A range of antique crystal, silver plate, jewellery and art will be the highlights of Melbourne auction house Young’s Auctions special sale from 9.30am Friday October 17 at 229 Camberwell Road, East Hawthorn.

Auction goers will have a massive number of items from which to select – with statues, clocks and tea caddies made from tortoiseshell and Australian blackwood also prominent.

Oriental china is another feature along with Aboriginal artefacts including antique boomerangs and clubs.

Porcelain items include a Royal Doulton elephant and Lladro cranes, while auction goers should show plenty of interest in a vanity box and ivory statue.

Those buyers who still collect antique mounted trophies will not be disappointed with a 12-pointer (six on each antler) elk and water buffalo bound to impress.

Among the furniture on offer are three dining tables – one made of cedar with five laves and 10 chairs and the other two of mahogany.

Unusual is the Fry’s Chocolate display case.
