Pianola plays auction tune

A German Steck walnut cased player pianola will be a highlight of the 19th and 20th century English, French and Australian furniture on offer from 11am Tuesday at E.J. Ainger Pty Ltd 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.

Other furniture items include 19th century mahogany ladies and gents chairs, a Victorian mahogany dressing table and a Victorian burr walnut tilt top table. 

The auction also contains decorative gilded mirrors, antique Persian rugs and a range of porcelain and glass items including a Japanese coffee service and four Jasper plates featuring the Boston Tea Party, Battle of Concord and Paul Revere’s ride across the Delaware.

Other items to interest auction goers include Australian and European paintings and garden pots complete with cherry trees.
