Oriental teapots and sterling silver a worthwhile auction attraction

Collections of oriental teapots, sterling silver, jewellery and antique clocks will greet auction goers as they file through the doors of Young’s Auctions from 9.30am Friday February 13 at 229 Camberwell road, East Hawthorn.

The silver includes a sterling silver salver and a crystal inkwell with a sterling silver top.

Among the jewellery is an opal and diamond ring and an amethyst set in 14-carat gold.

The auction contains quality English dinner sets, crystal and oil lamps and a range of paintings including Huon pine framed prints of early Hobart.

There also are tin signs, an old billiards scoreboard and a bricklayer’s hod, once used to carry bricks up a ladder.

Other features include reproduction furniture from Domo, antiques and retro pallisander furniture including a buffet and table and chairs.
