Furniture items from a recently sold luxury Toorak 40-square apartment will comprise about 25 per cent of this week’s Young’s Auctions sale from 9.30am Friday July 24 at 229 Camberwell Road, East Hawthorn.

The owner was Chinese and the furniture has distinctive Oriental flavour. It includes cherrywood dining table with eight chairs and three tall lacquered panels.

The collection also contains a contemporary lounge setting with leather chairs and settee from Natuzzi.

Other auction items include a modern porcelain doll collection and Georg Jensen silver plate.

Unusual is the Shirley Temple (famous 1930s child Hollywood star who died last year) memorabilia including old movie stills and albums.
