Four single owner collections featuring modern design, jewellery, objets d’art and oceanic arts will be auctioned simultaneously by Leonard Joel’s Sydney office from 11am Sunday December 4 at 39 Queen Street, Woollahra.

One of the single owners is Michael Galloway – whose collection features intriguing and eclectic 20th century British, South African and Australian fine art, sculpture and decorative arts.

Belgiorno Nettis is auctioning the contents of his Clontarf, New South Wales home, including modern design, objets d’art and oceanic arts.

Richard (1913-1989) and Joan Crebbin collection features modern design, objets d’art and jewellery.

The Crebbin collection features such interesting items as a Cenedese Murano glass aquarium block and light stand depicting various fish, jellyfish and seaweed, a rare pair of Jonquil chairs by Erwin and Estelle Laverne and 1890s French industrial revolution ‘steam engine’ clock.

Galloway’s collection is worth considering for items such as the Russell McQuilty painted steel work Weemabung South 2000, and South African artists George Boys oil on board, and After Joe Maseko’s Animated Seated Figure

Nettis is notable for a 17th century Italian walnut cassone, an 18th century Afghan sipar dhal and a late 18th century Italian neoclassical giltwood and feaux marble topped console table.

Viewing at 39 and 14 Queen Street (The Hughenden Boutique Hotel) Woollahra.
