Leonard Joel has four interesting auctions on Thursday August 7 at 333 Malvern Road, South Yarra.

The first, at 10am, is a Vintage Interiors – Furniture sale followed 30 minutes later by the start of the Designer Jewellery auction and, at 11am, by the Specialist Print auction.

The last auction to start is Vintage Interiors – Books & Objects.

Many of the Vintage Interiors – Furniture auction items are highly collectible including a pair of decadent green velvet wingback armchairs, an ornate ebonised red leather inset bureauplat and a French provincial style buffet a deux corps.

Two commodes should interest auction goers – one a French provincial style bombe shaped three-drawer example and the other a Louis XVI-style marquetry inlaid with marble top.

There also is a 19th century French provincial fruitwood table and a pair of coloured marble obelisks to excite collector tastes.

The Designer Jewellery auction includes an 18-carat white gold diamond cluster ring and a multi-coloured sapphire, tourmaline and diamond dress ring in 18-carat rose gold – along with a treated ruby diamond cluster bangle.

The Specialist Print auction has prints (with estimates from $100) by a range of leading Australian artists including Garry Shead, Rick Amor, David Boyd and Tim Maguire.

The Vintage Interiors – Books & Objects sale also boasts a range of art glass to interest collectors.
