A Chinese circular walnut low table with glazed mother-of-pearl top and four matching nest of stools should attract plenty of buyer attention at E.J. Ainger Pty Ltd’s next auction from 9.30am Tuesday at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.

This decorator’s auction – featuring the contents of three luxurious homes in Templestowe, Flinders and North Balwyn and fine English furniture – has several other unusual items on offer including a 19th century French copper jam pan and a black Chinoiserie.

There also is a four-fold Chinese lacquer screen and a superb Regency period mahogany chest on chest on bracket feet with arched galleried cornice and oval brass plate handles.

Other items to feature include a fine Victorian satinwood inlaid trumpet walnut sewing table, a set of six Cromwellian style upholstered oak chairs and a mid-19th century flame mahogany Scotch chest of drawers.

The auction contains a quality Victorian sideboard, single and two door bookcases, flame mahogany double bed, Moran fabric and leather lounge suites, Parisian contemporary brass and glass tables, and a fine selection of Georgian and Victorian occasional furniture.
Additional attractions include decorative paintings and graphics, Persian rugs and garden pots and plants.
