Buyers chase fine auction furniture

Items from two Melbourne homes in Camberwell and Malvern are among the highlights of E.J. Ainger’s weekly auction from 9.30am Tuesday March 27 at433 Bridge Road, Richmond.

Furniture includes a fine Victorian walnut fold over card table (lot 685), a Victorian walnut double-ended settee (lot 686) and a Victorian walnut gentleman’s chair in matching upholstery (lot 698).

Other furniture to feature includes a set of 12 Victorian mahogany dining chairs (lot 702), a Victorian flame mahogany chest of drawers (lot 769), two Moran leather button back Chesterfield settees (lot 781 and 730) and a pair of French inlaid green marble top bedside tables (lot 768).

Other auction highlights include a Royal Albert country rose service (lot 750) and a barometer collection (lots 706-710).
