Art and estate jewellery an auction feature

A selection of rare Australian art and more than 100 pieces of estate jewellery will feature in Amanda Addams Auctions final – and largest – sale for the year from 6.30pm Monday at 344 High Street, Kew.

Amongst the art works is a major Sali Herman oil from 1952, a rare Arthur Boyd lithograph and works by David Boyd, Charles Blackman, Pro Hart, Carlyle Jackson, James Wigley, Ernest Vogel, Geoff O’Logouhin, Margaret Cowling, Dawson McDonald, Ellen Burgess, Steven Deutscher and Dong Lin Zhang.

The high quality selection of estate jewellery includes precious stones such as diamonds, emeralds, Tanzanite, sapphires, silver along with other vintage jewellery, wristwatches, rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings and brooches.

Eighteenth and 19th century ceramics and pottery items hail from all parts of the world and include a rare 1883 Bendigo pottery Majolica bread plate, retro Troika, Royal Doulton, Royal Albert, a large lidded Royal Worcester vase, Wedgwood, Satsuma, Chinese and Japanese ceramics, Susie Cooper and Carlton ware.

Sterling silver includes a large collection of early Georgian, Victorian and Continental silver while furniture is oriental,retro, vintage, Victorian and Edwardian arts and crafts.

Items include side tables, tables, pedestals, sofas, armchairs, bookshelves and cabinets.

The highlight is a stunning antique hallstand and stereoscope and original retro Danish furniture.
