A woman whose Mount Macedon estate auctioneer Christian McCann sold four years ago has once again asked him to dispose of the contents of her Toorak property “Moonya” on site at 6 Evans Court from midday Sunday July 12.
The auction, which also includes items from her Brisbane property, features the finest Australian art McCann claims he has had the pleasure of selling.

A model of the United States Navy wooden-hulled three-masted heavy frigate USS Constitution will be auctioned as part of Young’s Auctions latest weekly sale from 9.30am Friday July 10 at 229 Camberwell Road, East Hawthorn.
Launched in 1798, Constitution is the world’s oldest commissioned naval vessel still afloat and is currently undergoing important restoration work at Charleston Navy Yard.

A large collection of historic Australian and British coins – along with those from other nations – should prove a collector’s paradise at auctioneer Steve Graham’s forthcoming sale from 10am on Sunday July 5 at 64 Urquhart Street, Woodend.
Of particular note is the 1861, 1907, 1911 and 1915 gold Australian sovereigns, and the 1909 and 1913 gold Australian half sovereigns.
Another coin of interest to collectors is the 1892 British gold half sovereign.

A 19th century Huon pine chest of drawers, a walnut cased baby grand piano and a tambour front Blackwood post office desk are furniture items bound to intrigue auction goers at E.J. Ainger’s weekly auction from 9.30am on Tuesday June 30 at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.
Other furniture on offer includes Georgian and Victorian items and retro teak and pieces.
The auction contains a large collection of Royal Doulton Toby jugs and figurines, along with sterling silver, china, crystal and small collectables.

The auction will be held at 926-930 High Street, Armadale and one of its main attractions is a Royal Doulton figurine entitled Princess Badoura.

These are American Andy Warhol’s Head After Picasso (lot 39), French expatriate Fernand Léger’s China Town (lot 40) and British sculptor Lynn Chadwick’s Maquette II Jubilee III 1984 (lot 32).

Leonard Joel’s Fine Art auction from 6.30pm Tuesday June 23 at 333 Malvern Road, South Yarra features Walter Withers The Trysting Place c1891 – part of the one family collection since its 19th century acquisition by Herald chairman of the time, the late Theodore Fink (1855-1942).
Born in the Channel Islands and migrating with his family in April 1861 to Geelong, Fink was a solicitor, politician, newspaper proprietor and educationist.

Leonard Joel has really worked overtime to assemble items for its latest jewellery sale from 6pm Monday June 22 at 333 Malvern Road, South Yarra.
Perhaps the most outstanding piece is a 9.01-carat solitaire brilliant cut diamond ring (lot 143), a typical example of the calibre of jewellery presented at this auction.
Accompanied by a Gemmological Institute of Australia (GIA) certificate stating colour N and clarity WS2, the catalogue estimate for the ring is $160,000 to $190,000.
