Furniture bonanza at Young's Auctions

This week’s furniture bonanza at Young’s Auctions, from 9.30am Friday June 26 at 229 Camberwell Road East Hawthorn, will feature a plethora of antique, modern and reproduction Victorian styles to suit every possible taste.

The antique furniture zeros in on early 19^th century oak – with the major items being a coffer, settle and mule chest.

Modern items include new or as new lounge suites, while the reproduction Victorian (from the Victorian Charm store) has a mahogany dining table, 10 chairs, sideboard and partners desk with matching office chairs among its offerings.

The auction also features Royal Doulton crystal, sterling silver, jewellery (including gold rings and pearl necklaces) and a 1950s dice game called Lucky Strike which, when a lever is pulled, rattles the plate to shake the dice.
