Highland Royal Worcester a real auction crowd pleaser
A three-piece Royal Worcester highland cattle garniture set by Stinton joins 20 pieces of Moorcroft (some with a Spanish pattern) Royal Doulton and 19th century Staffordshire figures as a highlight of Woodlands Auctions opening sale for 2014 from 10.30am Sunday January 5 at 16 Grubb Road, Ocean Grove.
Other porcelain items include Royal Crown Derby and Beswick animals along with 19th century cut glass pieces, sterling silver, caddies and boxes.

Furniture and porcelain big attractions for Woodlands auction
French and retro furniture, Moorcroft, Royal Doulton and Royal Worcester are among highlights for Woodlands Auctions final sale for the year from 10.30am Sunday at 16 Grubb Road, Ocean Grove.
The furniture includes a large 19th century plan chest and French oak hallstand, along with a Geo bureau and other bookcases, sideboards, dumb waiters, display cabinets and French and English wardrobes.

Last pieces in pottery collection go to auction
A well-known collector originally from Canberra, whose mother was instrumental in getting him started at age 16, is disposing of the last vestiges of his vast collection from 10.30am tomorrow at Woodlands Auctions 16 Grubb Street, Ocean Grove.
The collector (who declined to be named) built up his massive hoard over more than 40 years and has spent the past four steadily selling it off through various auction houses throughout Australia, simply because the collection became too big to lug around.
