A woman whose Mount Macedon estate auctioneer Christian McCann sold four years ago has once again asked him to dispose of the contents of her Toorak property “Moonya” on site at 6 Evans Court from midday Sunday July 12.

The auction, which also includes items from her Brisbane property, features the finest Australian art McCann claims he has had the pleasure of selling.

Of particular note is Hugh Sawrey’s Drover series and Pro Hart’s Miner series. Other notable paintings include Sidney Nolan and Harold Septimus Power landscapes and works by Ernest Buckmaster, David Boyd and Robert Dickerson.

Auction goers will be able to pause over outstanding 19th century French ormolu mounted salon furniture, Boulle cabinets, bureau-plats, vitrines, centre tables and credenzas.

Other furniture includes 19th century English mahogany and burr walnut library, sitting room and occasional pieces.

Signed Chinese porcelain is another drawcard along with stone seals, teapots and Chinese pedestals – while the English and European equivalents include ormolu mounted Sevres vases, signed Royal Worcester and rare antique Meissen.

For clock lovers there are signed French and English antique timepieces including an important 18th century Dutch marquetry long case clock, Boulle bracket clocks and French clock sets.

Sundries include fitti9ng and fixtures, lights, marble benches, split system air conditioners and doors.
