A collection of grandfather clocks leads the billing at E.J. Ainger’s forthcoming auction from 9.30am Tuesday April 10 at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.
The auction features a fine selection of retro teak sideboards (lot 732), a teak sliding door bookcase (lot 531) and nests of tables (lot 736).
An attraction for musicians is a Yamaha walnut cased piano and stool (lot 744) – while a French style gilt wood and marble top console table and mirror (lot 600) should bring plenty of attention along with a French cherry wood parquetry top buffet (lot 675).

Sotheby’s Australia will auction what it claims to be the most important collection of Lalique glass ever offered in Australia from 6pm Wednesday March 21 at the InterContinental Sydney 117 Macquarie Street, Sydney – appealing to national and international collectors alike.
The 134-piece collection belonged to Hans Mueller, late owner of the Lowes retail empire, and his late wife Gertrud who in the 1980s began amassing glass pieces by the famous French maker.

A painting by Australian artist the late Robert Jacks obtained directly from his estate and featured on the catalogue cover is one of the highlights of Leonard Joel’s first fine art auction for 2018 – from 6.30pm Tuesday March 20 at 333 Malvern Road, South Yarra.
Entitled Aztec Logo 1987, the oil on linen painting is signed by the artist and is a great example of his work.

An ornately carved French Henry II walnut court cabinet (lot 802) is another strong attraction, along with an impressive black and gold French style sideboard (lot 742).
Other worthwhile items include a green painted fern back cast iron garden bench (lot 722) and several queen sized beds (lot 684).
