A variety of Australian and European pottery including Limoges vases, jugs and plates are among the major features of E.J. Ainger’s forthcoming weekly auction from 9.30am Tuesday June 6 at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.
Royal Doulton and Carlton ware are other ceramic attractions along with a 19th century Chinese lacquered tea caddy, lacquered figures and cloisonné vases.
There also are several crystal (including Stuart and Waterford) pieces and Venetian and Murano glass and paperweights.

Mossgreen
A finely curated selection of traditional and modern art works is the hallmark of Mossgreen’s first multi-vendor Fine Australian and International art auction for 2017.
The auction, from 6.30pm Tuesday June 6 at 926-930 High Street Armadale, features an important Charles Condor painting Morning in the Park as an eloquent example of the artist’s late European work.
For the first time at auction is a striking Leonard French painting (The Workshop) – a strong complex work possessing all the traits of his best efforts.

Several gents’ wristwatches from leading makers are among the major attractions at Leonard Joel’s forthcoming jewels and timepieces auction from 6pm Monday June 5 in its Sydney premises at 39 Queen Street, Woollahra.
The best timepiece example is a Jaeger LeCoultre Master Tourbillon wristwatch with a catalogue estimate of $22,000-$32,000.

An intriguing archive of newspapers from 1788-1789 featuring printed accounts of the first faltering steps to establish the Colony of New South Wales are part of Mossgreen’s Australian History auction from 10am Tuesday May 30 at 935 High Street, Armadale.

A strong French theme is evident in E.J. Ainger’s forthcoming weekly sale with a large selection of walnut and oak armoires and tallboys, double beds and a trumeau mirror from the European nation all up for grabs.
The auction, from 9.30am Tuesday May 30 at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond, also offers retro teak sideboards, leather top desks and drop front bureaus, a pair of Chesterfield armchairs and several large four-door wardrobes.

Mossgreen
A new series of curated contemporary art auctions – the only one of its kind in Australia – has been introduced by Mossgreen.
The first in the series will be held from 6.30pm Sunday May 28 at its Sydney premises 36-40 Queen Street, Woollahra.
Mossgreen has teamed up with contemporary art auction consultant Melissa Loughnan to help with the sale, which includes key works created after 1970 by Australian and New Zealand contemporary artists.

Impressive chandeliers and ornate gilt mirrors highlight E.J. Ainger’s forthcoming weekly auction from 9.30am Tuesday May 23 at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.
Many of the auction items come from stately homes in Toorak, Albert Park and East Melbourne and are bound to whet auction goer appetites.
Among the more outstanding pieces are a silver plated coffee and tea service, Royal Albert dinner service and Merric Boyd and Lalique collectables.

Gabriele and Caterina De Meneghi landed in Australia with nothing but a couple of leather suitcases as part of the post World War II Italian immigration push, full of hope and more than a little trepidation.
Arriving on March 27, 1960 aboard La Flamina and docking at Port Melbourne, Gabi had been a member of the Italian partisans and was looking forward to a better life for his wife and two young children away from war-torn Europe.
Initially, the family settled in Noble Park and almost immediately his passion for collecting began.
