Several gents’ wristwatches from leading makers are among the major attractions at Leonard Joel’s forthcoming jewels and timepieces auction from 6pm Monday June 5 in its Sydney premises at 39 Queen Street, Woollahra.
The best timepiece example is a Jaeger LeCoultre Master Tourbillon wristwatch with a catalogue estimate of $22,000-$32,000.
An A. Lange & Sohne and a Vacheron and Constantin wristwatch are similarly estimated each at $20,000-$30,000, while several Rolexes (including an Oyster perpetual day-date chronometer estimated at $12,000-$18,0000) also are on offer.
Among the jewellery to go under the hammer is a diamond ring by Calleija, an art deco sapphire and diamond bracelet, a colour change sapphire and diamond ring and an art deco style emerald and diamond ring.
Other attractions include a pair of hoop diamond earrings, a rare La D De Dior ‘Precieuse’ lady’s diamond wristwatch (10,000-$15,000) a pair of sapphire and diamond ‘bee’ earrings.
Auction goers also should be intrigued by the gold and rock crystal necklace by Ilias Lalounis and several diamond line bracelets, each carrying various estimates.
