A superb circular French provincial style dining room table and matching chairs and an impressive three tier graduated garden fountain are among strong attractions at E.J. Ainger’s forthcoming weekly auction from 9.30am Tuesday November 29 at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.
These items are among a container full of antique, period and retro teak furniture that has just arrived from England.
Auction goers looking for dining furniture could do worse than consider a jarrah dining table and eight matching chairs, or the quality Australian cedar single leaf extension dining table.
The auction also contains coffee tables, chairs and sideboards by notable makers.
Interesting to buyers could be the two elm and oak trunks and collectors will no doubt be impressed at the two English grandfather clocks on offer.
A harpsichord piano and music stands might appeal to music lovers, while billiard and snooker lovers would do well to examine the three-quarter B&B billiard table and accessories (complete with table tennis top).
For toy collectors, a collection of more than 100 model toy cars and figures is bound to impress.
Other items include quality Persian rugs from private Melbourne homes, shabby-chic furniture items and wrought iron gates and doors.
Among the artwork is a selection of interesting Australian and international oil and watercolour paintings and graphics.
