Cartier watch timely auction find

An 18-carat yellow gold women’s Cartier Balloigne watch with a diamond face is one of the major highlights of Kim’s Auctions forthcoming auction from 11am Sunday October 9 at 327-329 Warrigal Road, Burwood.

Men who love quality timepieces also have not been forgotten with a Bulgari 18-carat yellow gold chromograph watch up for grabs.

Collectors will be out in force at this sale – firstly for the rare 19^th century 18-centimtere high Tibetan gilt seated Quang Ying figure from the Qing Dynasty and secondly for the Tang Dynasty (618-907AD) pottery group of a snow lion leopard attacking a wild boar.

The pottery group has an accompanying authenticity certificate from the University of Wollongong.

Sterling silver is prominent at this auction with a pair of gravy boats hallmarked London 1888 bound to attract plenty of attention.

A pair of sterling silver library candlesticks, hallmarked London 1866, is another strong attraction, along with a 1904 sterling silver potato ring with ruby inset.

A five-piece tea service (London 1851) featuring a tray, coffee pot, teapot and sugar bowl by Joseph Angel should have no trouble finding a new owner.

A couple of ormolu mounted Sevres centrepieces should interest collectors along with a pair of 19^th century French gilt urns and a pair of 20^th century Bohemian ruby vases.

There is a comprehensive range of quality furniture including a 19^th century kingwood and fruitwood ormolu mounted cabinet and several clocks.

A major feature is the 1780 Boulle ormolu mantel clock.
