An assortment of vintage die cast and tinplate toy vehicles from throughout the world at Leonard Joel’s latest monthly toy auction should whet the appetite of even the most discerning collector when they go under the hammer from noon Thursday at 333 Malvern Road, South Yarra.

One of the rarer items is the promotional Dinky 274 ‘Joseph Mason Paint’ mini van, along with a W&R Jacob biscuit manufacturers van from Models of Yesteryear, bulldozers, cranes, tankers and military vehicles.

The auction aslo contains vintage display signs and stands, an Austrlian Gerry Gee’s sister Geraldine ventriloquist doll and a German tinplate Schuco Elektro Radiant 5600 Lufthansa plane.
