Silver, porcelain and toys a big auction drawcard

A late 1800s Continental silver candelabra estimated to be worth between $4000 and $6000 is a major highlight of Young’s Auctions latest sale from 9.30am Friday June 13 at 229 Camberwell Road, East Hawthorn.

The auction also contains a strong collection of Lladro porcelain figures and a suite of Waterford crystal and Stuart crystal glasses.

Keen collectors will be interested in the comprehensive collection of model cars from the 1930s to the present day and kitchenalia items such as rolling pins from the Great Depression era.

For chess buffs, there is an ivory chess set (estimate $1500-$2000) and among the paintings in Paul Marcosgy’s Australia Boobook Owlets.

Antique and modern jewellery and antique and new furniture items also are up for grabs.
