Swarovski crytal pieces Christmas auction find of the year

In what could be the Christmas find of the year, superb pieces of Swarovski crystal, including magnificent renditions of Disney’s Mickey and Minnie Mouse (lots 278, 301 and 309), collected over many years are being auctioned online through Melbourne-based Philips Auctions finishing from 9.30am Monday December 9 at 47 Glenferrie Road, Malvern.

Part of Philips final Fine & Decorative Arts auction for 2024, the pieces on offer are listed from lots 218 to 318 and are to be sold with no reserve.

Apart from Mickey and Minnie Mouse, there is a frosted white ‘Soulmates Panther’ (lot 279), one of the same title in black crystal (lot 250) and another in lime (lot 297).

Other intriguing Swarovski pieces include soulmates dolphin groups (lot 251), elephant and calf (lot 253), golden shadow crystal doe and fawn (lot 256), ‘Siku Polar Bear’ and iceberg (lot 258) and a crystal Tinkerbell in a red Santa dress (lot 264).

There also are several Lladro pieces (lots 343-354) belonging to the same husband and wife collectors.

Other attractions include a pair of Satsuma vases (lot 134) and a Chinese green jade ‘two dragons’ group on a stand (lot 107).

In the separate jewellery auction, a circa 2000 18-carat yellow and white gold ring – with a fully certified Argyle Mine central pink diamond (lot 3) is up for grabs with an $18,000-$28,000 catalogue estimate.

A square Columbian emerald dress ring totalling 8.49 carats (lot 46) is estimated at $10,000-$18,000, while a pair of brilliant cut diamond studs (lot 60) is worth considering.

Other jewellery items bound to attract buyer attention include a diamond set trilogy ring (lot 87), a pair of heart cut tanzanite and diamond halo short drop earrings (lot 63), a diamond line ring (lot 165 - $15,500-$25,000 estimate) and a vintage style emerald and diamond trilogy ring (lot 177).
