Art, porcelain and furniture among the goodies at Aingers auction

A comprehensive range of Australian and international art will greet auction goers to E.J. Ainger’s forthcoming auction from 9.30am Tuesday May 14 at 433 Bridge Rod, Richmond.
Some of the more appealing paintings include Tony Irving’s The Old Wagon (lot 619) and a gilt framed oil of fishing boats (lot 660).
Other name artists include Ethel Woodle’s oil titled Alexandra (lot 665), Robert Wade’s Venetian scene watercolour (lot 700), Joseph Zbukuic’s The Overspray Wye River (lot 701), Walter Magilton’s Solitude at Coldstream (lot 702),Antonio’s Still Life Floral (lot 703) and Leon Hanson’s River Banks (lot 705).
Among the prints is a pair of English engravings (lot 581) and a set of four fruit prints (lot 572).
The auction contains plenty of furniture for those interested in something different for the home – including a walnut upright grand piano (lot 517), French style Louis XV brass embellished marble top commode (lot 666) and a flame mahogany oak table on a stretcher base (lot 628).
Other furniture items include an outstanding Italian walnut carved marble top dining table (lot 632), a Victorian burr walnut and inlaid sewing table (lot 633) and Regency chairs.
Unusual is lot 645 – an oriental japanned miniature cabinet stand – along with lot 571, a copper and glass insert comport.
Among the porcelain on offer is a Spode hand painted bud plate (lot 420) and a French Sevre blue bordered hand painted plaque with a female portrait panel (lot 476)
Clocks are another feature with a circular railway clock (lot 494) and octagonal faced wall clock (lot 495) among the timepieces for auction.
