As Young’s Auctions inches closer to its final ever sale next week, vendors are inundating the auction house with a plethora of items that will undoubtedly suit many buyers in the countdown to Christmas.

This auction, from 9.30am Friday December 11 at 229 Camberwell Road, East Hawthorn, features an estate with a rare W. Rocke & Co 1920s dining suite comprising extension table, eight chairs, sideboard and serving table, paintings by artists including W. Follen Bishop, James R. Jackson, Charles Rolando and Violet McInnes, gold and diamond jewellery, European porcelain and brand new Persian rugs handed over by a liquidator.

Bishop’s painting measures an impressive 1.8 metres by 1.5 metres while Jackson’s view of an early Sydney Harbour would make an attractive acquisition.

The jewellery features diamond rings, gold chains, necklaces and other items while there also are several trays of silver rings and pendants.

There are several collectable clocks in the sale, Penfolds Grange Hermitage, Bin 389 and Bin 707 wines, and a large collection of vintage toys.
