Artist Tori Dixon-Whittle’s collection is an interesting mix of art, furniture and collectables that will appeal to a broad range of auction goers.

Leonard Joel is auctioning the collection from 6.30pm Wednesday October 31 at 333 Malvern Road, South Yarra and there should be plenty of bidding from the opening lot – a painting entitled Woman with Blue Background 2005 by Chinese artist Zhong Chen.

Other paintings of note include McLean Edwards’ Pretty in Pink (lot 3) and David Bromley’s Butterfly diptych (lot 27) and Tulips (lot 44).

Dixon-Whittle has included several of her own works (all still lifes of fruit) in the auction while other painters such as Todd Hunter (Night Swimming 2006 – lot 28) are well represented.

The auction contains several furniture items such as a Danish sideboard (lot 7) and leather sofa (lot 10) and a rustic fruitwood dining table (lot 8).

Other items include a large fibreglass hand (lot 12), antique chemist jars (lot 14), oriental three-panel screen (lot 25), oceanic stool with face motif (lot 33), large vintage Japanese railway clock (lot 35) and a “Christiania” cargo cycle (lot 52).
