An exciting and elegant selection of modern, vintage and antique jewellery should attract auction goers to Philips Auctions jewellery sale from 6pm Monday at 47 Glenferrie Road, Malvern.

One of the highlights is a striking black and white diamond pendant on a diamond chain, with a catalogue estimate of $8000-$10,000.

Another is a stunning white gold full set diamond eternity hoop ring estimated at $16,000-$22,000 while an even more expensive 18-carat white gold 3.51-carat solitaire diamond by Michael Wilson, with a $49,500 valuation, should have buyers rubbing their hands.

The auction also contains a fine quality pair of Asprey of London yellow gold and enamel cufflinks with their own box.

In addition, there are Tanzanite rings and pendants, and South Sea pearl and diamond pendants and earrings which, with several diamond set brooches, should be of great interest to collectors.

This sale also will be of great interest to Philips Auctions head of jewellery Tanya Philips – who will then take maternity leave for the remainder of the year.

During her absence, Elizabeth Stannard will be filling in as head of the department.

Elizabeth has worked here and in the United Kingdom with some of both countries leading jewellers and auction houses.
