Crystal ware a major auction drawcard

A comprehensive range of crystal ware will be among the major attractions at Young’s Auctions forthcoming sale from 9.30am Friday April 10 at 229 Camberwell Road, East Hawthorn.

The crystal ware includes a seven-piece antique Mary Gregory green glass drink set, two sets of Bohemian coloured wine glasses and a Stuart crystal bowl and two crystal vases.

The auction contains a large number of art works from three estates including an oil painting of horses and gum trees by E. Bednes and oil painting of a man walking through tress by N Laps.

Unusual is the old Kentucky musket and antique percussion pistol.

There is a range of jewellery items, including various gold rings, and leather furniture featuring arm and tub chairs, tub chairs, leather top desks.

Among the new furniture is a mirrored chest of drawers with leather bindings and handles and a Grange dining setting.
