Maritime themed items and a range of interesting collectibles are bound to whet auction goers’ appetites when Young’s Auctions holds its next sale from 9.30am Friday September 12.

The maritime themes include several lifesaver-shaped picture frames containing portraits of sailing ships.

The auction contains a range of jewellery including Omega and Tissot gold watches and sterling silver including a pair of George III goblets from 1808.

There are 12 Australian sovereigns from the early 1900s and several industrial antiques featuring an old railway trolley, office pigeonholes and metal lights.

Among the furniture is English flame mahogany from a Middle Park estate.
