Clowns and figurines to entice auction collectors

An interesting collection of Royal Doulton figurines and another of Armani clown statues (both from the same collector) is a major highlight of Young’s Auctions latest sale from 9.30am Friday July 18 at 229 Camberwell Road, East Hawthorn.

The auction also features Waterford crystal including 12 champagne flutes each containing different scenes from the iconic 12 days of Christmas song.

Antique and modern jewellery from two estates – featuring rings, bracelets and 1970s South African krugerrands – is another drawcard for auction goers, while a large gold nugget is bound to attract plenty of attention.

Auction goers also are warming to a 1950s Bakelite clock featuring a ship that rocks like it’s at sea and a light that, like the sun, changes intensity depending on whether the time is day or night.
