Auction items to suit a broad range of tastes

Leonard Joel’s latest weekly auction of furniture, jewellery, art and objects and collectables begins at 10am Thursday July 6 at 333 Malvern Road, South Yarra.

Among the furniture is a pair of decorative French serpentine fronted marble top commodes, an 18th century French Henry II style oak table and a French continental style parquetry top extension dining table.

Jewellery features an 18-carat gold five stone diamond ring, an a18-carat white gold South Sea pearl, diamond and pink sapphire ring by Autore, a pair of 18-carat white gold heart shaped diamond earrings each weighing 0.3 carats, and an emerald and diamond suite comprising a pendant and two cluster drops.

Art lovers will be interested in Natalie Dwyer’s painting Quiet Time 2004, Mark Hanham’s oil on canvas entitled Shadows of Paris and Joseph Jurra Tjapaltjarri”s Sandhill Country South of Kiwirrkurra 1989.

The objects and collectables section of the auction includes a Royal Albert afternoon tea set, a French three-piece mantel clock in slate and brass and an art deco marble and metal centrepiece of a girl with a peacock.
