Auction garden patio setting for the enthusiastic homeowner

A magnificent iron and marble top patio setting with 10 chairs, settees and chaise longue (lots 786 and 787) are the highlight attractions for cast iron garden furniture and other garden features (lots 690, 729 and 766) being offered by E.J. Ainger at its forthcoming auction from 9.30am Tuesday August 28 at 433 Bridge Road, Richmond.
The garden furniture joins an 18th century Queen Anne four-drawer chest (lot 564) and a French kingwood and floral marquetry decorated fall front secretaire (lot 613) and 19th century French bedroom items (lots 672 and 740O as interesting furniture attractions bound to interest many homeowners.
Other furniture of note is a 19th century French painted marble top display credenza with four brass grilled doors (lot 773) and a fine Victorian Huon pine tallboy chest with barley twist columns (lot 789) – along with Chinese lacquered low side and display cabinets and gilt overmantel mirrors (lot 760).
The auction contains a varied and interesting collection of artwork and prints, including a large Chinese scroll (lot 697).
Estate jewellery is another attraction with pearl, turquoise and opal pieces (lots 514 and 533) from which to choose – while a collection of ceramic French inkwells (lots 508 and 535) is an unusual find.
Moorcroft vases and dishes should appeal to porcelain collectors.
