January will be a busy month for auctioneer Steve Graham as he will be holding three auctions in 10 days.

The first, from 10am on Sunday January 12 at “Kippen Ross” 429 Bulmans Road West Melton, is a clearing sale with a comprehensive range of items that no doubt will appeal to many of the locals.

A major drawcard is the Mustang 960 bobcat with a four-in-one bucket and a Leyland three-tonne tip truck.

World War I and World War II German and Australian medals are among a range of military collectibles to be auctioned from 10am Sunday November 10 by auctioneer Steve Graham at 64 Urquhart Street, Woodend.

The collectibles include a Beaumont Adams 1862 black powder revolver, Japanese, Russian and English swords and a World War II leather flying helmet.

The auction contains a Gottlieb cue ball wizard pinball machine, petrol and oil collectibles, enamel and tin signs and vintage riding crops and whips.

 The late Ross Wattington had such a fascination with America’s famous Route 66 – which crossed the country from Chicago to Santa Monica in California – that he spent much of his life traversing the highway collecting memorabilia relating to its glory days of the 1950s to 1970s.

In 1983, he established a Route 66 shop in Prahran that enabled other Australians to share his passion for some of the amazing hot-rod and other American symbols of the era – followed a few years later by a similar store in Sydney.
